Furlong & Associates utilise a team of dedicate professional licenced investigators who have experience in all genres of investigations and experience in law enforcement.

Scott Furlong – CEO

Scott joined the Queensland Police Service in 1999 and served for 20 years, 18 of those as a Detective and rose to the rank of Detective Senior Sergeant.

During his time in the Queensland Police Service, Scott worked as a criminal investigator and spent time in the Homicide Investigation Unit, the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Task Force and a regional Criminal Investigation Branch. Scott was responsible for several complex major investigations.

Scott is a passionate advocate for Victims of Crime and volunteered his time as a member of the Board of Management of the Queensland Homicide Victims’ Support Group holding the positions of General Board Member, Vice Chairperson and Chairperson.

Scott is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws.

Since leaving the Queensland Police Service, Scott has worked for a Queensland government department as a Senior Advisor (Investigations) in the Professional Standards Unit undertaking workplace investigations, including workplace matters, bullying, harassment, and code of conduct issues, as well as internal fraud and related matters and misconduct and corrupt conduct matters. In the private sector Scott has conducted high-quality WorkCover and insurance investigations for both claimants and respondents.

Scott is passionate about justice and victim advocacy.
